Michiel Poesen appropriated a currently popular meme and went (almost) viral. Is his observation right? Comments very welcome.
It depends on who you ask. I find EU private international law absolutely extravagant! Just take a look at the Brussels II ter Regulation.
It also depends on how one sees the gentleman in pink: For some, he is simply fabulous; for others ridiculously pretentious. Public international lawyers on Twitter seems to gladly accept for themselves the first interpretation. Actually, it’s funny that they do not even consider a second interpretation exists. Oh, well….
