Checking Out
It has been seven years since I wrote my first post on Conflict of Laws .Net.
The blog has been a lot of fun, but also a lot of work. I am stepping back and leaving the blog in the expert hands of my co-editors.
I am sure I will continue to meet many readers in conferences all over the world.
It is indeed a pity that Gilles is leaving this blog where he has been regularly providing the whole “community of private international law” with news and ideas which are not easily available elsewhere.
Therefore, I would like to express my gratitude for his work done so far – conflict of laws is one of my main resources for information in this field.
And I hope that this blog will continue in an active way!
I cannot but join Prof. Hess’s words.
I add: It’s thanks to CoL that I met Gilles. And for lots of readers CoL is (was, from today on) Gilles Cuniberti.
See you at the Weicker building, Gilles.
I do join our Colleague’s words, too!
Many thanks to Giles and all the CoL pack.
Keep it going, please!
All the best. Paco.
We will miss your comments, Gilles! You are always on top of things. Thank you so much…and as you said, we will meet in conferences all over the place.
Thank you so much for all that you have done to bring about such a terrific blog and to breathe life into conflicts of laws. You can be really proud of your achievements.
Bon courage pour la suite !
I would also like to express my gratitude to Gilles Cuniberti for the work of all these years in CoL – an invaluable source of PIL knowledge in its largest sense, which incidentally also led my professional (and personal) path towards Luxembourg. Au plaisir de vous revoir !
Gilles,
Thank you for linking to my recent blogpost on a case heard in the Chinese courts on the power of a foreign court appointed liquidator (http://supremepeoplescourtmonitor.com/2014/06/02/an-overseas-listed-company-gone-bad-gets-its-day-in-the-supreme-peoples-court/). The case was heard today in the Supreme People’s Court and a German scholar attended the hearing. A new blogpost will follow.
Thank you very much Gilles for all your work devoted to this blog. I started teaching PIL here in Peru in 2011, and since then I have checked this blog every single day and now expect doing the same with the new editors. Thanks again!!
Thank you, Gilles, for tying the private international law community together in a way that had not previously been done. You have performed a huge service. All of us will continue to think of your contribution as we rely on conflictoflaws.net for years to come.
I also want to express my gratefulness to Gilles Cuniberti for his dedication to this blog. I knew it five years ago, and since then it has become my daily visiting blog. It unites the private international law community not only in the world but also in China. Thank you again, Giles Cuniberti!
Thank you very much from a quasi-daily reader!
Keep up the good work..
I join the rest in thanking you for your many and wonderful contributions, which were of real help to me far away in Pittsburgh especially in following developments in the French courts that I might have missed otherwise.
