The Faculty of Law at the University of Rijeka has announced the upcoming edition of RIDOC: Rijeka Doctoral Conference, which will take place on Friday, 12 December 2025 in Rijeka, Croatia.

RIDOC is an international academic conference designed for doctoral students in law and related disciplines. It offers a unique platform for early-career researchers to present, test and discuss their research ideas in front of an expert academic audience and fellow PhD candidates from across Europe and beyond.

3rd Postgraduate Law Conference at the Centre for Private International Law and Transnational Governance

The 3rd Postgraduate Law Conference of the Centre for Private International Law is now open for registration.

The theme is “New Dimensions in Private International Law” and the conference will take place online on 6 June 2025 in the morning. Topics include commercial, family and maritime law, as well as law in the digital age and sustainability and corporate responsibility.

RIDOC 2024: Rijeka Doctoral Conference has been announced by the RIDOC2024-Call.

Interested doctoral students and candidates in law or law-related areas may apply by sending the abstract accompanied by their CV to ridoc@pravri.uniri.hr.

20 September 2024 – application deadline
15 October 2024 – information on acceptance by the Programme Committee
13 December 2024 – conference presentation

RIDOC conferences have been organised by the University of Rijeka, Faculty of Law since 2016, regularly featuring sessions on private international law.

Call For Papers: Second Postgraduate Law Conference of the Centre for Private International Law

The Centre for Private International Law (CPIL) of the University of Aberdeen is announcing its 2nd Postgraduate Law Conference of the Centre for Private International Law, which will take place online on 6 May 2024. Researchers are invited to submit abstracts by 29 February.

The Conference aims to provide young scholars with the opportunity to present their research before panels with relevant expertise and receive valuable feedback for further development of their work.

It has four panels, respectively on international family law, civil and commercial law, artificial intelligence and human rights linked to private international law.
